I haven't done a portrait in years so I thought I would give it a bash. Im not completely happy with it but it has made me want to find a local life drawing class to brush up my sketching skills :)

Air Vents
Out and about with my camera and I started to spot a whole load of air vents in the walls of buildings. Physically non obtrusive features of nearly every building, however the detail and design involved in some of them is very beautiful indeed. They seem to be a feature of both modern and classical [...]
Unexpected Whiteout – Suffolk
I woke up this morning to a complete whiteout of snow. I love snow, it looks so cosy and soft from the safety and warmth of my house. One of the best things about a 'snow day' is staying inside and drinking warm cups of tea, plus checking out if there is enough food to [...]
Kneehole Land
My brother told me there was a whole world underneath my Dad's office desk. Only he could get through to the other side. He would tell me all about his adventures.
Ice cream tubs and hard work

Millington
Every day after school we would walk through his grandparents garden and into the woods, we were very much at home and only returned home as the light began to fade. Watches were never needed.
Steam train wallpaper
We had to take a clipboard and packed lunch with us. Mine was a homemade one made from steam train wallpaper and a rusty old bulldog clip. In my lunch I always had carrots, sultanas and a piece of fruit. If I was lucky I would get a penguin bar or a pack of ready salted hula hoops. [...]
The smell of shavings
I just couldn't sleep. I crept down the stairs and pushed open the lounge door an inch. It was warm and inviting with the burbling drone of a television set and chatter from my grandparents. I walked in and told them that I couldn't sleep, my grandad asked with distain whether I wanted him to [...]
