Great news from my neighbour just 10 minutes ago, my exhibition 'Void' that took place over the Easter weekend in Aldeburgh is in the local newspaper. My neighbour has kindly given me her copy. I had to retrieve it from under her sleeping cat so any ideas of fame and fortune have been put in [...]

The Audience Landscape
This animation was created over the 3 day weekend and shows the growth of a concrete landscape that is made up from packaging that was brought along by participating audience.
Thank you to all my visitors
Just got home after the last day of my exhibition, Void - The landscape of waste packaging at Caroline Wiseman's South Lookout Tower. Excited how some of these chance encounters will turn [...]
What do you call an artist without an assistant? …Lost!
Some photographs that my wonderful wife took last night of me setting up my exhibition and then sitting in an exhausted heap at the end of the installation. She really is an excellent artist assistant and much needed calming influence, where would I be without her...everyone should have one :)
Twas the night before exhibition…

Biscuits & Industrial Landscapes
In my exhibition at The Lookout, Aldeburgh next week I will be exploring issues surrounding waste packaging. What impact does this waste have on our world? Where does it all come from? Throughout history artists have found beauty in the ugly and mundane and used the unwanted waste of others to create art. For [...]
Concrete block signage
I have made some of the signage for my upcoming exhibition. At least one of our cats likes it :)
Wasteful society
As I mentioned yesterday my upcoming exhibition 'Void - The landscape of waste packaging' is all about the permanence of waste packaging in landfill. As a nation we produce some of the highest amounts of waste packaging per capita in Europe. Although many successful initiatives exist to promote the recycling of our waste packaging the [...]
Void – The landscape of waste packaging
In my upcoming exhibition called 'Void - The landscape of waste packaging' I have used concrete to create mini sculptures from the forms, shapes and patterns found in everyday waste packaging. Concrete is a product that we all come into contact with on a daily basis, used widely in construction because of its excellent structural [...]

The old man, the suitcase and the boot sale
I was browsing a car boot sale at Friday Street Farm Shop, Suffolk, when I spotted this little suitcase. The colours are very much my kind of thing I thought, I bet I can't afford it. Looking up I saw an old boy approach. He obviously thought this item was a bit of rubbish to [...]
